Our approach to regulation

Federal securities laws (FSLs)

Crypto assets are currently trading on platforms and “exchanges” that are not registered with the SEC and are not FINRA members. In contrast, our "Qualified Custodian"* is an SEC-registered FINRA member that uses advanced technologies to clear, settle, and custody digital asset securities subject to federal securities laws.

Customer protections

Through our "Qualified Custodian"*, your assets will be subject to many of the protections often seen in traditional securities trading, including the safekeeping of assets and SEA books and records reporting along with the separation between Prometheum and customer funds pursuant to SEA 15c3-3.

Trade monitoring and surveillance

Our Alternative Trading System (ATS) employs a robust trade monitoring and surveillance system that uses predetermined parameters and dynamic triggers to identify suspicious and/or malicious activity.

Scalable systems

Prometheum is building a digital asset ecosystem that’s fast, scalable, and reliable for many types of trading strategies. In addition to our web-based trading system, our APIs will provide seamless integration for algo traders and in-house front ends.
